Shut down. Can't understand it. All these people here as a labor of love
and Griffith Park Film Officials shut down our biggest day based on a
technicality. These cheeseballs knew how to hurt us most: they let us
film the majority of the day so that we'd be married to the location footage-wise.
Broke my heart to have Charley and Leah go through this. Rocky Peak will prevail in the end.
May 21, 2003:
Working on Charley Cabrera's 'Rocky Peak' at the moment, mostly in Malibu Creek State Park.
Taking Benadryl all day, every day. Doggone bugs.
May 17, 2003:
Strides Therapeutic Center Stunt Show.
Mark Robinson, Tony King, myself, with Dustin Cornelius directing and running the sound board.
High fall, fights, and a rappelling demonstration by Mark Robinson and Ed Morlan.
...show went so well, an impromptu show was put on for Nora's grandson's birthday party on the next day.

(Man I gotta get to my site more often!)
Currently working on Sci-Fighter. Incredibly fun experience!
Basically, Don 'The Dragon' Wilson plays Jack Tanaka, a Kung Fu instructor.
His father, Professor Tanaka, (not the real one, an actor named Aki Aleong) is a scientist
who has designed a top-notch virtual reality 'Streetfighter type' video game.
One day, Jack's son Brad is playing the game, and his mind gets sucked into it by some weird
artificial intelligence type virus thing (sorry to have to get technical here ;).
Then the game shorts out, fusing its power connection and destroying the power cord.
So it only has its two hour reserve battery sustaining it.
Jack puts on the visor to go in and save his son. But all the levels and characters have been
tweaked by this virus. The characters all think that Jack and Brad are the virus so they
try to kill them.
Will Jack and Brad make it out...?
I've been doing stunt rigging for flying the martial artists, and choreographing the fights.
Mad props and special thanks to my buds Tony King, Jared Eddo, Dustin Cornelius, and
James Logan for their help and support!
Kung Fu expert Eric Lee is on-board to instruct us on the traditional styles.
We've also had some other cool people in it like Lorenzo Lamas
(actually a terrific picture fighter from years of doing it), Chris Cassamassa,
Cynthia Rothrock, Gokor (nicest guy, about 5' 9"--but the guy has the biggest hands
I've ever seen. Reminds me of
that Fantastic Four character made out of bricks),
Michael Gonzalez (Monkey-style Kung Fu and Shaolin practitioner), Christine Bannon-Rodriguez
(women's forms AND fighting champion--I'm not kidding: straight-up sidekick from elbow's
distance away), and before this is over, Bill Superfoot Wallace,
Joe Lewis, and Bob Wall.
Eric Lee and I have had to put together various fights with them versus Don Wilson and/or
Daneya Mayid, Don's son in the movie. Not to mention about a dozen random ninja fights.
The fights have all been cut down, though: Except for Gokor's fight, Jack and Brad
never been able to hit the ground because of wardrobe concerns. Then time and weather
have hit us hard on quite a few days.
Plus, Art Camacho, the director has packed the schedule pretty full.
I LOVE A CHALLENGE!!!
Jan 18, 2003:
Just saw a screening for 'Devil's Knight' starring Jaime Gomez
and Martin Cove--can't wait for it to come out!
Currently working on 'Grand Theft Parsons' with Johnny Knoxville, Christina Applegate,
Robert Forster and Michael Shannon.
...rumor has it that the sequel to 'Devil's Knight' starts production in January....
